Three currents can be distinguished in Apke's work:

Firstly, a comedic direction that occasionally veers into the grotesque and dark, but always grows out of a tragic background.

Then plays and screenplays that blend a surreal quality with poetry, always in conjunction with music -

and finally, imaginative pieces for children, which are often also enjoyed by adults.
