What happens when you flee from your own origins – and wake up in a room where even gravity is no longer reliable?

Kazimierz wanted to leave everything behind: the grime of provincial life, his humble family, and his former love, Ilona. His sole aim was to rise to the ranks of Shakespeare and Dostoevsky as a brilliant filmmaker and artist. But instead of waking up on the Mount Olympus of masters, he awakens in a surreal nightmare. At first, he imagines himself facing a firing squad, commanded by his own alter ego. Shortly afterward, he finds himself in an absurd, physically impossible room where tables balance on a single leg and vodka bottles float through the air.

Isolated from the outside world and plagued by manic delusions of grandeur, Kazimierz is relentlessly confronted by his past through bizarre phone calls and flickering screens. A relentless battle erupts between the supposedly elitist art and the denied reality of his life. Increasingly paralyzed, both physically and mentally, he must face his deepest lies.

Will Kazimierz succeed in taming the ghosts of his origins and finding the proverbial balance on the tightrope of his crumbling life – or will he finally plunge into the darkness of his own madness?
