A thin, small man
Location: Small apartment in a rear building
ACTION
In an isolated apartment in a back building, the young mother Pia is in danger of sinking into a deep, paralyzing emptiness. While her partner Anselm helplessly fights against her silence, Pia finds solace in an uncanny rhythm: the footsteps of the neighbor above her.
Mr. Braun becomes her only confidant – a man who seems to know the hidden tragedies and secrets of the house.
But who is the man upstairs really? As Anselm tries to get to the bottom of the mystery, the fabric of reality and imagination begins to crumble dangerously. A psychologically intense chamber drama that teeters on the edge between solace and despair.
“Steps” was broadcast as a radio play by Polish Radio together with “Ashes” under the title “Back House”.
