A dimly lit room in an old apartment building threatened with demolition. Here, the older Robert and his considerably younger ex-wife Eva meet.

What begins as a seemingly harmless, albeit belated, courtesy visit quickly develops into a psychological chamber drama of oppressive intensity.

Eva has come to finally draw a line under the past and embark on her new life.

But Robert refuses to accept reality. With a ritually staged wedding feast, fabricated stories, and emotional traps, he tries to freeze time. Eva is caught in a maelstrom of manipulation from which there soon seems to be no escape.
