ACTION

Piotr and Fritz – a German and a Pole, related by marriage and utterly lost in space and time – have hit rock bottom. Stranded in a bleakly comical hotel room in a small Polish town, they desperately live off their last zlotys. Their plan to sell cheap Chinese wheelchairs as German brand-name products is threatening to fail spectacularly: To convince their wealthy clientele, the neurotic, rule-obsessed Fritz has to pretend to be a happy paraplegic – coached by his Polish brother-in-law Piotr, a charming improvisational artist with a penchant for vodka and devotion to the Virgin Mary.

But when the painstakingly constructed web of lies begins to crumble, a completely new field of activity opens up to the two survival artists as if by a gift from heaven: Miracle healing!

To save themselves from impending doom and, incidentally, prevent the Polish birth rate from plummeting, Piotr and Fritz deliver outstanding acting performances. What follows is an outrageously funny, fast-paced culture clash full of slapstick, existential crises, and unexpected twists.

A bittersweet comedy full of pace, witty dialogue and redeeming moments – sharp-tongued, wonderfully politically incorrect and guaranteed to thrill!
